Dream Discovery (non-therapy)

This is a great fit for those who are curious about their dreams, interested in creative inquiry and want to explore their dreams for meaning-making. It is not suitable for those in crisis, seeking acute trauma processing, or working with NDIS goals. This is not counselling or clinical therapy

What is Dreamwork

In these sessions, we will meet your dream/s as a living, creative process. You might bring one dream or a recurring theme. Through arts-based processes and prompts, we are able to externalise images and feelings so you can explore them at your pace.

  • Sessions can focus on a phenomenological (experience-led) and/or a transpersonal (soul-led) approach. We will describe and explore what’s present in your dream in your own words. We do not interpret or ‘read’ your dream or artwork. If meaning emerges, it is yours and it unfolds in your own timing

  • Sessions may include somatic noticing (how the dream lands in the body) and simple embodied and imagery work.

  • No interpretation required. There is no pressure to ‘figure it out.’

Please note: While these sessions are not therapy, dreams can sometimes evoke deep emotions or unexpected insights. These sessions are designed to be a gentle space for discovery, with room for all kinds of emotions to arise. However, if a dream feels particularly unsettling or intense, it’s best to explore it in a therapeutic context where deeper processing can happen.

How it works

Arrive & settle

  • Start where it feels right - retell the dream, share a fragment, or you may just want to explore one image/phrase/body feeling from the dream (you don’t have to tell the whole story)

  • Creative exploration (e.g., drawing, collage, movement, imaginal dialogue)

  • Notice what stands out; choose any small next step

  • Close gently

  • Tea & Snacks on offer for these sessions

Session length & fee: 60 min — $120 · 90 min — $150
Location: Seedpod Creative Arts Studio, 176 High Street, Northcote VIC 3070

Creative methods we might use

  • Artmaking (drawing, painting, collage)

  • Exploring dream images and symbols

  • Engaging with archetypes (e.g., Hero, Shadow)

  • Embodied sensing (linking images to bodily cues)

  • Active imagination and movement

  • Dialoguing with dream figures
